San Juan Diego Institute (SJDI) is a lay Catholic faith based organization devoted to the Hispanic community with an emphasis on Immigrants and families seeking housing, and health care needs.

The institute assists individuals and families in crisis situation, where SJDI is their last resort to receive emergency medical care, housing and other critical/basic need.  Through this work, SJDI fulfills its mission to assist in building communities that serve humanity with love, compassion, and respect for the poor and human dignity.

Our Mission

For love of the poor, respect for the human dignity of every person, and faith in the unity of family, San Juan Diego Institute (SJDI) serves individuals and organizations to fulfill their human vocations, strengthen families, and communities. 

San Juan Diego Institute (SJDI) is a lay Catholic faith based organization devoted to the Hispanic community with an emphasis on Immigrants and families seeking housing, and health care needs.

SJDI is fully run by volunteers and its working board of directors.  The organization uses all of its resources to fund its work and help those in need.  It doesn’t have an operating budget nor paid staff
